Racing with the Waves

冬の早朝、ミユビシギの群れに遭遇しました。波打ち際ギリギリにいて、大きな波が押し寄せてくると、一斉に浜に向かって逃げていきます。
 
On an early winter morning, I came across a flock of sanderlings at the water’s edge. As each large wave rolled in, they all scurried up the beach together, as if racing with the waves.
